Top Ten Oscar 2014 Red Carpet Pictures
Sandra Bullock/Grade A-
The "Gravity" goddess — a nominee for Best Actress — oozed old-Hollywood glam in a silky, strapless blue number with an elaborate train by Alexander McQueen. Bullock, 49, also sported curls and sparkling earrings by Lorraine Schwartz. (Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
Lupita Nyong'o/Grade A
The question wasn't whether the fashionable Best Supporting Actress nominee ("12 Years a Slave") would stun at the Oscars, but which designer she would be wearing! Prada was the lucky label. The 31-year-old was beautiful as always in a light blue, custom Grecian-style design from the label paired with a pretty headband. (Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
Angelina Jolie/Grade D+
While it's pretty impossible for Jolie to look bad in anything, the shimmery Elie Saab gown she sported for Hollywood's biggest bash of the year was far from her best look. It was a little too matronly for the 38-year-old actress, no? (Jason Merritt/Getty Images)
Jennifer Lawrence/Grade A
The Best Supporting Actress nominee continued along her Christian Dior path for the Oscars in a stunning red dress reminiscent of her scarlet Calvin Klein number from the 2011 Academy Awards. J.Law, 23, was dripping in $3 million worth of Neil Lane diamonds. (Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
Anne Hathaway/Grade C
Though we're sure the 31-year-old's fashion-focused colleagues in "The Devil Wears Prada" would approve of her head-to-toe Gucci look, we weren't feeling it. Hathaway, who took home an Oscar last year for her turn in "Les Misérables," wore a black silk crepe column gown with a crystal embroidered halter bodice, accessorized with a pair of black patent leather platform heels and a black clutch. Cate Blanchett/Grade A
The Best Actress nominee for "Blue Jasmine" stunned in a nude Armani Privé gown featuring a long flared skirt embroidered with sequins and Swarovski crystals. Blanchett, who accessorized with a brown-diamond bracelet and opal drop earrings from Chopard, never disappoints! (Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
Charlize Theron/Grade A
The 38-year-old Oscar winner wasn't nominated for the 2014 honors, but she was a clear winner on the red carpet. She dazzled in an elegant, sleek black dress with a train, which she accented with Harry Winston jewels. Gorgeous! (Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum/Grade B+
This handsome couple can do no wrong, and that extends to red carpet fashion. She shimmered in a nude Reem Acra gown, while her husband looked studly in his tux (duh). (Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
Kate Hudson/Grade A
The 34-year-old actress can usually be counted on to look flawless on red carpets, and she definitely delivered some serious style in this low-cut beaded Atelier Versace gown. (Jordan Strauss/Invision/AP)
Jared Leto/Grade B+
Did you really expect Leto, the night's winner for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his work in "Dallas Buyers Club," to wear a traditional tux? The 42-year-old Thirty Seconds to Mars singer rocked his signature long locks with traditional black pants and shoes but mixed it up by wearing a white jacket and red bow tie.
