Handbag Tips That All Ladies Should Remember

15 Must Have Crossbody Bags - With Love From Kat
A handbag is my favorite accessory of all time, even more so than shoes, so I’ve got a few handbag tips to share with you to help you enjoy this essential accessory a bit more. Handbags can make such a wonderful statement for your outfit, but my favorite part about them is how functional they are. They allow me to carry all my essentials around, while also giving me a fashion accessory at the same time. Next time you buy a handbag, you need to remember a few handbag tips when choosing and carrying your handbag so you get the best benefits from them. Check out what they are and let me know if you have a handbag tip of your own!
Because every #SwellCaroline loves #monograms, monogrammed purses, clutches, wallets and beyond by #ClaireVivier !
1. KEEP IT LIGHT

One of my first handbag tips is to keep it light, as best as possible anyway. Don’t throw everything under the sun in your handbag. Why? Because you’re only carrying it with one shoulder or one arm. Unbalanced weight on your body can cause a variety of joint and muscle issues. You can greatly damage your shoulders and even create a hinged back over time if your handbag is constantly heaving and increasing the workload of your back and shoulders. Your handbag should not be like a book bag, but instead, a simple accessory that holds a few essentials.

2. CLEAN IT REGULARLY

Have you looked at the bottom of your purse lately? Oy! It can get a little gross if you don’t clean it out regularly, and that’s nothing to pass off as unimportant. Bacteria can grow quickly in the bottom of your handbag since it’s dark and warm, which all bacteria prefers to proliferate. Clean it out with an alcohol wipe at least once per week, and wipe down all the goodies inside too.

3. CHANGE IT EACH SEASON

Whatever you do, don’t carry the same handbag all year- just don’t. While I have a few that I love dearly, I know it’s important to change it up each season. After all, a handbag is a fashion piece, so keep yours trendy and update it each season, or at least twice a year.

4. VERSATILE COLORS

I like to pick versatile colors when selecting a handbag, which will help me keep from having to change it every single outfit. My go to colors are brown, black, and tan or camel, which can all be worn with just about anything. Bright colors are trendy, but they don't always go with everything, and you should always match if you can. That’s just fashion sense, hun!

5. STRAP SMART

When you buy a handbag, be strap smart. This means inspecting the strap to see how secure it is. Is it thin, short, too long, or perhaps null and void in the form of a clutch? Decide what type of handbag you prefer carrying when it comes to the strap or handle. It will influence how you carry it, how much you enjoy it, and how functional it is.

6. MATERIAL

How weather friendly is your purse? Choosing a high quality material that’s not easily damaged by water or snow is important, especially if you live in a cold or damp climate. You should also look at the material to see how well it will hold up over time. Certain cloth materials won’t last as long as other materials, so be sure you’re smart when selecting a material. It will determine how it holds up over time, and how adaptable it is to certain weather circumstances.

7. YOUR STYLE

Don’t buy a handbag just because it’s popular or name brand. Overall, it needs to be a style that suits you, makes you feel confident, and that you enjoy carrying. Like all fashion pieces, your handbag should be a statement of your personality, so don’t feel you have to conform. Pick a style that works for you and carry it with pride!

Top Reasons To Get Sunglasses On

The Adorkable One.: Finding the Right Sun Glasses for Your Face Shape        Jeepers Peepers Will Round Plastic Sunglasses
Eyes need to be protected from UV light
What happens everyday: When UVA light hits the eye, it may damage your vision by affecting the macula which is located at the back of the eye. The cornea and the lens of the eye absorbs most of the UVB light.
What happens over time: Over time, these rays may contribute to macular degeneration ( vision loss), cataracts ( clouding over the eye’s lens),  and possibly, skin cancer around the eyelids.
How to make the change: You need to start wearing sunglasses or at least a wide brim hat everyday!
How to choose sunglasses: Look for glasses that filter out close to 100% of UVA and B  rays and importantly, comfortable to wear. Make careful consideration of whether the glasses can handle heavy play impact – from sports, at the beach, playground.
Food for the eyes
Likes: Carrots, sweet potatoes, kale, apricot, cherries, wild salmon, almonds, pumpkin seeds and chickpeas.
Why: All of these foods are rich in nutrients as beta- carotene ( orange foods), zinc (pumpkin seeds), vitamin E ( almonds), essential fatty acids ( fish).
Dislikes: Sugar
Why: When there is excess sugar or glucose in the body one of the first places it will travel to are the eyes. When at the eyes, it will attach to the lens, form crystallization and eventually cataracts and blindness.

Tips On How To Dress Elegant

Chic, elegant style! Olga Kurylenko looked great in this black and white ensemble, pairing a white blouse with high-waisted trousers and stiletto heels.
Many of us would love to know how to dress elegantly. To know how to dress elegantly means you are dressing in a way that goes beyond fashion and trends. It is a special way of dressing that catches the attention of others, not because of the style, but because dressing elegantly means to dress with beauty and grace.

1. REALIZE SIMPLICITY IS ELEGANT

The first step in how to dress elegantly is to realize that simplicity is elegant. Look at any picture of a woman that you consider to be elegant and see if she doesn't dress with simplicity. Many times, this means wearing solids rather than patterns, but not always. It may be a simple sheath dress. You should not underestimate the power of dressing with simplicity.

2. WEAR ONLY WHAT WORKS FOR YOU

If you want to look good, you must know what works for you. This means that you figure out what colors are best for you. It means that you know what style and fit of jeans, skirts and dresses are most flattering for your body type. Know what works for you and refuse to compromise, even if an item is on sale. It is better to pay a bit more and look lovely than to buy something on sale that does not do you justice.

3. GO FOR CLASSIC PIECES

Some pieces of clothing and accessories are just timeless. They stand the test of time because they never lose their appeal. A few pieces that I can think of are a little black dress, gold studs and a strand of pearls. These pieces work now the same as they did 25 years ago and are all very elegant. Purchasing pieces like these is a wise decision and another step toward dressing elegantly.

4. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE A GOOD BAG

You can't underestimate the power of a good bag. A good bag can make you look totally put together. It doesn't have to be a name brand bag although there are many beautiful name brand purses. Basically what you are looking for is clean lines, something that catches the eye but is still understated. It is the kind of bag that you know it when you see it.
Seriously this is my 10th repin of a jumpsuit, I need one.
5. FIND YOUR OWN STYLE

Finding your own style takes time but it is an important part of dressing elegantly. If you aren't sure what you like and what feels right to you, you will not feel or look comfortable in your clothing. There are several things that can help you identify your style. There are many quizzes you can find online to help you. You can also just look in your closet and see what clothing themes appear repeatedly.

6. CARRY YOURSELF WITH POISE

Believe it or not, things like posture and confidence matter in what kind of aura you give off. Having good posture and looking confident can absolutely make you look more elegant. Think about this. Have you ever seen a woman that was elegantly dressed that looked uncomfortable in her clothing? Most likely the answer is no and it isn't because of what she had on. It was because she was confident in who she was, not just what she was wearing.

7. LEARN TO LOVE NEUTRALS

If you want to dress elegantly, learning to love neutrals is essential to that, realizing the importance of neutrals is helpful. Then you can mix up some patterns and color with those neutrals.
