The killers of Ikechukwu, a student of the Department of Transport Management, were said to have used cutlass to inflict injuries on every part of his body till he became lifeless.
Campus sources told P.M.NEWS that the student was in the company of two ladies and they had just returned from the hospital where one of the ladies went for medical check up, when the killers struck.
“The cultists must have been on their trail because they were attacked a few minutes after they arrived at the hostel. Mba tried to run away after the cultists invaded the room but they ran after him and used machetes to attack him till he became lifeless,” one of the sources told our reporter.
The campus has been thrown into a state of unrest as another 200 Level student of Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology Department, identified has Bankole, was also shot dead by cultists at Soun Stadium, Ogbomosho, last week Wednesday.
P.M.NEWS learnt  that the parents of Bankole came to take the corpse away for proper burial and no arrest has been made by the police.
The S.U.G election which was to hold on Thursday has been postponed till next week Wednesday because of these killings.

How to take care of your makeup

*Keep it out of direct sunlight.

*Keep it in a cool dry dark place, meaning out of bathrooms that steam up.

*Always keep the lid tightly closed.

*Clean your make-up brushes regularly.

*Try not to use finger tips to scoop out products, use a clean plastic spatula.

"How do I know your Makeup Product has gone bad??" - Here are some need to know tips!

1. Mascara. I can't stress enough how important it is to not keep your mascara longer then 6 months as it can gather a lot of bacteria and can irritate your eyes. For this reason don't waste your money on high end mascara go for cheaper drug store brand.

Top tip: Give the mascara a good sniff, if it smell like funky fish then it's best to let go.
Clean you mascara wands often to get the most out of your mascara.

2. Lipstick/Glosses/liners. Lip products need to be use in about a year, only if they are used and open.

Top tip: Check your make-up stash before opening new products to make sure you don't have some thing similar that needs to be used.

3. Foundations. Powder foundations (powders in general) can last for about two years where are liquid foundation last any where between one to two years. However if you haven't really been using and its been over a year you may consider throwing it away.

4. Eye-shadows. Cream shadows will last about a year or so.  Powder shadows last for about 2 years.

Top tip: If you have found a cream that you love or you spent a lot on, try sampling it in a pot and keeping the original container tightly closed to prevent it from going off or gathering bacteria.

Hmmmm….this life, as they say, no condition is permanent.

Because I am a Girl.......

Because I am a girl I ask….why can’t every girl in the world live happy healthy lives and be given the same chances in life to live the life they want.

Because I am a girl I hope….one day women won’t be forced to live a life chosen for them. They will be able to marry who they want, have the careers they want to have and earn the money they deserve for the work they do.

Because I am a girl I like…..that we are born with all the best skills, the ability to read others emotions, to be sympathetic, loving and compassionate. To read situations that our male counterparts can only dream of understanding.

Because I am a girl I dislike....how we can be our own worst enemies. We need to unite not pull each other apart.

Because I am a girl I feel….grateful for the chances I have had to a loving home and family because I know it could be very different.

Because I am a girl I….am glad to be part of an extraordinary club, a huge worldwide club of females. We are awesome!

NDLEA Arrests Popular Comedian For Drug Ingestion

Click for Full Image Size

This is a huge public embarrassment! Celebrities are mostly seen as role models and mentors but the reverse is the case now for this popular comedian that was caught with drugs....

A very popular Ghanaian comedian, Musah Iddrisu, and a Congolese, Inana Cedrick, have been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, for ingesting drug.

Iddrisu and Cedrick were arrested during the inward and outward screening of Ethiopian airline passengers respectively at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

Mr. Udoh Nsikak-Abasi, NDLEA Commander at the airport said, “Iddrisu was found to have ingested 450 grammes of cocaine. He was on his way to Thailand. Cedrick was caught with 1.500 kilogrammes of heroin which he tried importing into the country.

“A third suspect, a Nigerian, John Nwadilichukwu, was also arrested. He was to receive Cedrick at the airport, collect the drug and pay him for smuggling the drug.”

The heroin was said to have been hidden inside a luggage. Twenty-year-old Cedrick, who claimed to be a secondary school student in Tanzania, said, “I was given the drug in Nairobi by a Nigerian woman who told me to give the drug to her husband, Nwadilichukwu, in Enugu.

“I wanted to use the money they promised to pay me in buying beads for sale in Tanzania. I am a secondary school student from a poor home.”
Iddrisu, aka Charles Udunehi, who bought the cocaine for $19,000, said he had wanted to sell them in Thailand.

He said, “I got involved in drug trafficking because of my financial predicament.

I bought the drugs in Ghana, ingested it and came to Enugu airport. As it is a new airport, I felt the security will not be like other airports, but I was wrong.”

Chairman of the NDLEA, Mr. Ahmadu Giade, said adequate efforts had been made to apprehend drug traffickers at the Enugu airport.

He said, “We have already deployed our officials to the Enugu airport before it commenced international flights. Adequate security measures have been put in place to apprehend drug traffickers at the airport.

Man Cancels Wedding as Bride Fails Pregnancy Test In Redeemed Church

Click for Full Image Size                                                                                                                                                                                    When churches compel ladies who have been s**u*lly active for years to just abstain from the act over night it should be made clear that most of these ladies may just be pretending to be abstaining because of the man they want to get married to in church but they are busy getting "enough servicing" from other men.

This was the big mess that played out at a Redeemed Church branch last Saturday, 22nd February, 2014.

The Senate President's wife, Helen Mark, was to play hostess at the wedding. The bride, Cynthia worked for her and was said to be an orphan thus had become her adopted daughter. Guests got to the venue of the big wedding at about 9am but 2hrs later, neither the bride or the groom came out.

As guests started getting impatient, the groom came out, took the microphone and announced to the surprise of all guests present that he is no longer interested in the marriage...

It later turned out that the the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, that was supposed to wed them had conducted a pregnancy test for the lady 24hours before the day and the result turned out POSITIVE.

The BIG problem however is that the mam had never slépt with the lady. So, who got her pregnant? The lady on her own part insisted she was not pregnant and went to do her own pregnancy test in a different hospital and the result came out as NEGATIVE. Crazy drama in church.

Redeemed church called their doctor to do a second test and the test traced the thing and it was POSITIVE!

The church did several tests and all came out POSITIVE, but the lady is still insisting that she is not pregnant.

Could it be that she had terminated her "pregnancy" and did not know that the church's test could trace it?

The man insisted that he can't marry a woman who is pregnant for another man, and a liar. David Mark's wife and her people begged the man to forgive and marry her but he stood his ground. Never!

A source told that the man's main anger was that when they were dating she didn't allow him to go "far", meaning there was no special torching. She was trying to paint herself as a good girl before her man, so he can't go ahead and marry her since another man was enjoying what he was denied.

The lady cried but it didn't change anything. Some guests ate their rice others didn't. The man walked away!

Poly student, others die in auto accident

The life of a 23-year-old student of the Federal Polytechnic in Offa, Kwara State, Oladotun Alade, has been cut short by an accident involving a truck and a Volkswagen saloon car in Okuku, Osun State.

One of the eyewitnesses told PUNCH Metro that the accident occurred when the plank-carrying truck was overtaking the five-seater car.

“As the truck was trying to overtake the car, the planks got detached from it and fell on the car. The three passengers sitting at the back of the car died instantly,” the eyewitness said.

It was learnt that Alade, who was an ND 1 Civil Engineering student, was among the passengers sitting at the back.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the driver and the passenger sitting in the front survived the accident.

Alade’s relative, Adeyemi Oyeleke, said, “He was travelling to the school to submit an assignment since the polytechnic has resumed. His friends had earlier informed him that lectures had commenced. He had planned to travel next week Monday, but his mates called him that one of their lecturers demanded that an assignment he gave them be submitted.

“He was a friendly guy and always smiling. He was the only son and the second child of the family.”

Our correspondent, who also visited the Facebook page of the deceased, observed that tributes had been pouring in for the undergraduate.

One of his friends, Temitope Dada, wrote, “Still seems like a dream, Alade Matthew Oladotun. You left without a farewell message. It’s so saddening to hear the demise of a rare gem, friend and brother. I love you, but God loves you more. Sleep well.”

Tope Olayemi, who shares the same birthday with the deceased, wrote, “It was very painful when I heard you’re gone, my birthday mate. RIP.”

Another friend, Abey Oyejide, wrote, “Dotun, you were joking with me on Sunday, but you did not tell me you would leave us soon. We will always remember your impact in this world. Rest in Peace.”

A source close to the family said that the deceased had  been buried on Wednesday.

When our correspondent contacted the Osun Police Public Relations Officer, Sade Odoro, she said she had not heard of the accident, but promised to call the DPO of the Okuku Division.

However, our correspondent did not get any feedback from her as of the time of going to press.

FGC YOBE ATTACK: Why Girls Were Spared And Only Boys Were Killed

Mass killing of school children at the Federal Government College in the Buni Yadi area of Yobe was shrouded in mystery after reports revealed that only male students were killed. It has been learnt, however that the extremists intentionally spared the female students.
According to the officials, female students at the co-ed school were spared – and that the attackers instead told them to go home and get married and to abandon their Western education (Boko Haram – meaning “against Western education”).
It would be recalled that the attackers set a locked dormitory on fire in the early hours of Tuesday. The terrified students escaped through the windows, they were shot and their throats were slit. Some were burned to ashes. The massacre was followed by violent reactions by Nigerians and top politicians, urging the authorities to put an end to bloodshed in the country.

Protesting Imo Women Sweep-off PDP Footprints From Owerri (pics)

imageimageimage

As early as 7.am on Monday, thousands of Imo women stormed the streets of Owerri to protest against the People Democratic Party (PDP) and its leaders over the provocative statements they had made during their party’s rally last weekend, with the women saying that the party leaders had come to provoke their people

The women, who were chanting war songs with their brooms, also went to the Dan Anyiam Stadium, where the PDP rally was held and swept the stadium, claiming that they had swept away the footprints of the PDP leaders and members, who were there last weekend.
As they swept the stadium, they were heaping curses on the PDP, accusing the party of mismanaging the resources of the state for 12 years, with nothing to show for it.
From the stadium, the women marched along the major streets of Owerri, including Wetheral, Okigwe and Mbaise roads.
But before leaving the stadium, the leader of the women, Mrs. Josephine Udorji, said PDP leaders came to remind Imo people about the scars they left on their bodies when they governed the state for 12 years, expressing surprise that President Goodluck Jonathan could attend such a rally to receive those who no longer have electoral value.
Other women leaders, who addressed the crowd included Mrs. Getrude Oduka and Mrs. Tina Adike, and they said that they allowed the PDP rally to hold because of the presence of Jonathan, stressing that they would not allow such again.
The women also marched to the Government House to register their solidarity to the Governor Rochas Okorocha where, Uche Nwosu, Commissioner of Lands and Urban Development, addressed them.
He told them that Imo people know who is who and would speak loudly and clearly in 2015, even as he thanked the women for their unflinching support.

My hubby’s siblings have turned my home to hell

Click for Full Image Size

As I write you this mail, my home is boiling. Seven years out of my eight years of marriage, my home has known no peace.

I am from Abia, while my husband is from Anambra.

We had cause to live with five of my husband’s siblings at once and it had been hell living with them and witnessing several characters. A situation, where they will like to dictate what happens in my home, what to cook, who goes to which school and all that. To worsen it, the young man among them has a recurring mental illness, and each time it happens, accusing fingers are pointed at me as the cause of his problem; for causing irritation in the home when I am actually reacting to their suppression in my home. They often hold meetings on how to deal with me.

All these years have been that of tears, with my husband focusing on his siblings while I struggle to give my children the best I can afford. None of his siblings appreciate the cost of footing the medical bill of the young man, while still struggling to put food on the table.

The recent trouble started with my husband’s niece fighting me and my husband’s insistence that she goes to visit her father for a week as punishment for her misdemeanour. Rather than going to my husband to discuss and plead, they (the brother and sister) resorted to verbal abuse on my person. This did not go down with me and I had to give it to the young man, word for word, due to the fact that he had earlier poured invectives on me without any response from me. My offence was that I phoned some close relatives when I overheard him talking in the night thinking that he was mentally sick again, going by his history.

I only wept my heart out because he said some unbelievable words, which tallied with what some prayer warriors said that the stagnancy in my life has to do with my husband’s siblings. I have tried to improve my relationship with him and the other siblings but have failed because if you offend one, you offend all and the younger ones are careless with chores.

He was bitter after the battle of words as he took every word to heart while I disregarded his insults, abuses and name callings.

A month after this incident, his mental problems started all over again. As usual, his sisters started their accusations all over again. Ironically, when he recovers, they still bring him back to my house.

Agatha, I admit, I feel threatened by the presence of this man in our lives. My children are all girls and if his attitude of trying to be in control of everything is anything to go by, I fear for my children. He is always in the habit of taking things without asking for permission.

No doubt, I have a temper, but I am trying my best to work on it as well as accommodate them in my life as their presence in my home is inevitable. I have resigned myself to prayers and consolations that one day they would all leave my home for theirs so that I can reap the joy of matrimony which other women enjoy.

I encouraged my husband to raise funds to establish businesses for the older ones while I take charge of the home front and it has been years of spending every bit of my earnings to sustain our large family.

I have had enough of their problems and insolence. I desire peace. I don’t think they should dictate what happens in my home. They see nothing good in me, even the one I got a job for. Every little thing in my home is amplified when relating it to their elder sister in the north who in turn gives them all her support. For how long, can I continue with this battle or have peace in my home?

Worried Wife.

D’banj Finally Leaves G.O.O.D Music Record?

Click for Full Image Size

Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo popularly known as D'Banj, who was signed in to G.O.O.D Music record seems to have parted ways with the label after few years of pitching tent with them.

This information was gathered via his twitter handle, as the multiple award- winning hip-hop artist made a shocking disclosure on his twitter account, which now reads ‘BANGA LEE/EJANLA’ instead of the initial ‘G.O.O.D Music’ record as part of his biography.

Recall that in 2013, reported that the G.O.O .D Music label boss, Kanye West, was unhappy about the split between D'Banj and Don Jazzy in early 2012 as Kanye actually signed Don Jazzy to produce D'Banj for his record label. But with the split between them, it was no longer possible for Don Jazzy to perform his obligation of making 'good' beats for D'Banj.

But the question is: Will D’Banj consider going back to Mo’Hits record?

Nigerian Hottest Colour Trend for 2014

Orange-red is back. Featuring as the most popular hue of 2012, the colour is again, the preferred hue for the first quarter of 2014.
Being one of the most cheerful colours of the season, it has the magical power to lift one’s spirits and brighten up a dull day.  While it’s not for shy people, the sharp-edged colour will appeal to those who want to make a strong fashion statement.
Styling
Note your skin tone-Orange is a beautiful colour and it can flatter one’s features in a beautiful way. But if your skin is pale, avoid wearing this bold colour close to your face as this may make one look washed-out.  The easiest way to find out if orange shades suit your face is to hold the chosen piece of garment near your face when you are trying on clothes at the store.
If your face gets a nice highlight, then you can be sure that orange colour will look amazing on you. But if your face looks too dull, orange will not look good on you.
Pair with white
White is the perfect partner for vivid citrus tones.  It provides the clear, crisp contrast that the colour needs.
Think casual
Softly faded denim is a perfect citrus partner because it looks like a neutral attire and brings a fitting, casual attitude to the pairing.
Tread carefully
Adding matching bright shoes to an already vivid outfit can be overkill. For example, a tangerine shift dress should be paired with soft brown sandals.
Accessories
Choose shoes in neutral shades like grey, khaki, white or black.
Accessorise with chic belts, stylish handbags, fashionable headbands, bracelets and necklaces.
Two subtle ways to incorporate orange-red into your wardrobe
• Lingerie
If you’re a bit apprehensive about wearing orange but want to give it a try, then lingerie is a great place to start. Since “nobody” sees it but you, it’s the perfect way to experiment with shades without feeling like everyone is staring at your odd choices. Wearing orange lingerie can help you gain confidence in wearing bolder colours. It also helps you get used to seeing yourself in orange before you try it out in public.
• Purses and handbags.
An orange purse is the best way to introduce orange into your style. Paired with a black or grey outfit, the purse will blend in perfectly.

Femi Falana Begs Fashola To Revisit LASU High Fees

Click for Full Image Size

Prominent human rights activist, Mr Femi Falana (SAN) has called for a review of the controversial hiked school fees in Lagos State University (LASU), saying that the increase negates the African charter and the country’s law on right to education.

According to Falana, the state government ought to review the hike in tuition fees paid by the undergraduates on the grounds that majority of them are from poor homes whose parents and guardians “have been economically disabled by the ‘kalokalo’ economic system operated by the ruling class in Nigeria”.

Falana, who made the call in a statement yesterday, also appealed that the Lagos State government should not allow the students to drop out of school due to poverty.

On January 23, 2014 students of LASU embarked on a violent demonstration over the closure of the school’s registration portal by the institution’s management. They claimed that their inability to register on time was because of the expensive fee. The school was then shut due to the violent protest.

Meanwhile, Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN) of Lagos State has approved the sum of N51million for the repairs of the public property and facilities damaged during the crisis.

How to Fix your skin problems. A must read!!

Under Eye puffiness - First thing in the morning, wet finger tips in cold water and dab softly over the puffiness. This will bring the "swelling" down.

Red Cheeks & Rosacea - The easiest way to hid redness on the face is to use yellow! A lot of people use green concealers or creams however the yellow works the best to counter act the redness. So if you suffer from high colouring or Rosacea try yellow primers or concealers

Acne/Spots/Blemishes - This tricks works a treat and its HEAT well actually its steam, lightly steaming the face for 5 mins can bring the yucky horrible stuff in the skin to the surface and then all you have to do it to wash it away! Its that easy!!

Steaming also works on dry skin as it break down the flaky dead cells and make it easier to exfoliates.

Dry Lips - This is a funny little tip that I was told about. To get rid of dry skin  lick your lips, then take some sugar and press it over the lips, rub your lips together, lick it off and viola smooth lips that taste yummy!

(By the way licking your lips actually dries them out so try to avoid it!)

Toke Makinwa is totally fake....

Oops, this happened during the week on the usual every morning drive show on Rhythm FM.
If you are a regular listener of the show, you will notice that Toke is fond of taking shots at her co-presenter, Nanya Diali. Sometimes she jokingly calls him 'ugly'.
Anyway, this week - on Tuesday morning to be precise - she got more than what she bargained for when she jokingly attacked him by calling his shirt 'fake.
Normally Nanya would laugh over it but this time he replied her.
Read their tete-a-tete below:

Nanya:  Thank God it's just my shirt that is fake...but You (Toke) are fake from head to toe. "
Toke:     Oh really, I didn't know that! Can you kindly expantiate please.
Nanya:   Oh baby I will. Let's start with your weaves, and then your fake eye lashes, and then your makeup, and also your push up bra and finally your bleached skin, my dear I tell you, people will run. You have no single natural beauty, you are totally fake" he jokingly said.
Of course they laughed over it but there is always an iota of truth in every joke rig

Marriage Not My Priority Now – Mbong Amata

Click for Full Image Size

Nollywood actress, Mbong Amata, speaks about the breakup of her marriage with celebrated filmmaker, Jeta, in this interview with Punch

At a time many celebrity marriages are crashing like packs of cards, fans of the filmmaking couple, Jeta and Mbong Amata, were shocked to learn they too had drifted apart. Since the couple practically worked together on major movie projects, many fans, who obviously did not see it coming, continue to ask: What went wrong?

The erstwhile love birds were envied for their achievements. Jeta met Mbong during an audition in Calabar in 2001. She was only 16 years old at the time. They started dating about two years later and then tied the nuptial knots in 2008.

Mbong gave birth to their daughter in the same year. Then in 2013, things began to fall apart and the centre could no longer hold.

Getting Mbong to open up on the crashed union was a tough call. Surprisingly, she spoke fondly of her one-time sweetheart.

When E-Punch asked if she had found love elsewhere, she was evasive at first.

“I’m working and I still intend to do more charity work. Who is the man you’re talking about? I don’t have any man for now. Right now, I don’t think marriage is my priority. I don’t want to comment on that now. I don’t want to talk about the future. I prefer to live in the present. Am I supposed to reel that out? But life happens,’’ she replied.

Black--beautiful-pix

SUPPLE skin comes with great care. For most of us, having healthy skin takes a small amount of work, but beautiful skin is worth the effort. Taking time to pamper the skin especially if you are dark skinned is worth it. To get the best skin appearance, follow this useful tips.
