Get The Complete Look of a DIVA

Go on a shopping spree at designer stores only :)

Dressing to perfection begins, first of all, with preparation of the body followed by the right foundation. The virtues of cleanliness citing that a beautiful dress and perfume on a dirty body is like putting icing on gingerbread. No matter how sweet the topping, the taste of the ginger would cut through.  The same is true for inner attitudes--funky dispositions, bitterness, or vanity--I don't care how fabulous the dress, it can't possibly cover all of that.

Dressing must begin beneath the surface. Whatever is going on inside you is sure to shine through and overcome your accessories if not dealt with.

Divas set fashion trends, they don't follow them. Classic, Simple, Elegant and Complementary are the key buzzwords when referring to how a diva dresses. Always in good taste, never outshining the person person who is wearing the garment. Divas dress in a way that causes others to look twice, though nothing they are wearing is screaming for attention.  It's the colour, the fabric, the fit that accents a woman's best features and appropriate minimize anything that should not warrant extra consideration. Its simply a matter of taste and some discerning choices about fabric and cut. Paying strict attention to the fact that less is more.

Pay attention to fabric content. Pure fabrics last longer than blends.  When you consider how many times you have to buy the same inexpensive white blouse over and over again, you could have bought a slightly pricier blouse that would have lasted a lot longer.  The same goes for that basic black dress, skirts, blazers.  Choose a colour palette that easily coordinates.

You should be able to interchange all of your pieces with one another unless you are not on a limited budget and have an expensive wardrobe. Classic cuts lend themselves and they always look good. Well fitting garment always look better.

Being an educated shopper can make the difference between a mediocre wardrobe and a fine one. Be willing to take time to bargain, you would be surprised at the savings you will reap. Compare prises for similar pieces to make sure you are getting a good deal before making a purchase.

Choose your accessories carefully--they should never overpower your outfit.  Accessories were created to complement your outfit, not distract from it. When dressing to impress, true divas keep it simple and real. Invest in your image, what you wear says a lot about you.

Makeup should be an enhancer, not a mask.  One should be a classic, natural look and one should be slightly more dramatic.  Take care in matching skin tones and find one that looks natural. Select shades of eye shadow, blush, and lipstick that are soft and match with your skin tones.  Avoid harsh lines around the lips, eyes and brows.  Take the time to blend your colour so that there is no obvious beginning ot end to them. Brows should have a natural arch--always wax or pluck from underneath, not on top! Careful trimming may be required to even the shape on top but follow the lead of what is naturally there.

Your hair should work for you, not against you.  It should be a flattering frame for your face and should not distract from it. Find a hairdresser you like and stick with that person. Experimenting with different hairstylist can be dangerous. Find one who will learn your head, understand what your hair needs, and nurture it to its fullest potential.
